SUMMARY:

Provide nutritious meals to the Elderly as well as ensuring a safe, clean and sanitary environment. Reports to Director, full-time position(s) w/benefits, salary $10.00 hourly.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals in meeting the daily food requirements for the Elderly

• Plan and prepare menus with healthy food and home cooked meals;

o Traditional foods; fish and venison

o Wild Rice, Hominy, etc.

o Outside Pan/Oven Breads

• Plan healthy, nutritious meals – with less focus on processed foods, high fat meals or high in sugar meals

• Responsible for preparing, handling and serving food in a safe and sanitary manner

• Responsible for cleaning the dining area on a daily basis, i.e., washes tables and counter tops

• Participates in program planning and other activities as requested

• Performs others duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• GED/High School Diploma

• Must have a Chef's Training certificate

• Three (3) year experience preparing meals for large groups

• Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of proper techniques for food preparation and modified diets

• Must be a team player

• Must provide exceptional customer service to all participants

• Possess a current driver's license with auto insurance

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
