Assembly candidate and tribal chief responds to fraud, grand theft charges

A tribal chief, who is running for the North State's Assembly seat on the Democratic ticket, is speaking out against the grand theft and fraud charges brought against her by the Shasta County District Attorney's Office.

The DA's office says Caleen Audrey Sisk, 65, improperly documented her time sheet as an employee with California In-Home Support Services and was paid $38,300 by the state for 4,441 hours she did not work.
