BP: Grand Forks man will spend less than four years in jail for sexual assault of minors

GRAND FORKS—A Grand Forks man will spend less than four years in prison for sexually assaulting two minors, a sentence one of the victim's mothers said is not enough.

Tyrell Everett Phelps, 27, sat silently in a courtroom chair Monday as Grand Forks District Judge Donald Hager sentenced the man to 10 years in prison. Five years will be suspended, and he will be credited slightly more than a year for time served.
