'Dangerous' killer escapes halfway house while on furlough

FARGO, N.D. — A convicted killer in North Dakota walked away from a halfway house where he had been temporarily transferred for a psychiatric evaluation, according to authorities.

Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd told KFGO radio that Sean Schroeder, 29, should not have been released from jail for the two-week furlough. He called Schroeder “dangerous and violent” and warned the public not to approach him.
