Headwaters Quilter Club will be supplying quilts to Beltrami County Sheriff's Office

Bemidji, MN-- Whether you were hurt, cold, or scared, not one of us can probably deny the comfort we receive from being wrapped in a nice warm blanket. Whether we felt solace, it warmed our heart and soul, or it just made us feel safe and secure from what frightened us. The Headwaters Quilters Club is going to help with that. On May 1, 2018 the Club began supplying all of the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office squad cars with handmade quilts. The quilts will be used by our Deputies at the scenes of medical emergencies, accident scenes or when someone just needs the safety and comfort of just being wrapped in a blanket. Or maybe you’re Linus from the Peanuts cartoons. Whatever the reason, the Headwaters Quilters Club wants to help. And all of this comes to the Sheriff’s Office for free from the membership of the Headwaters Quilters Club as a way of giving back to the community. After a Deputy issues one of these wonderful quilts they become the property of the person they were given to.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office thanks the Headwaters Quilters Club for this generous gift that keeps on giving.
