MN Senate defeats public works funding, $825M in projects on life support

Minnesota lawmakers’ plans to borrow hundreds of millions of dollars for public works projects suffered a severe — but not yet fatal — blow at the Capitol on Wednesday.

The Senate failed to pass a Republican-sponsored, $825 million bonding bill on a 34-33 party-line vote.
