Headwaters Music & Arts invites amateur vocalists ages 15-25 to take part in Bemidji Sings. 7 pm Wednesday, June 6th at Bemidji State University Bangsberg Hall.

This event is a qualifying event for vocalists looking to qualify for the Minnesota Sings vocal competition for amateur singers ages 15-25 representing their hometowns.

Vocalists are asked to prepare one song that they will sing in front of 2 to 3 friendly judges at BSU's Bangsberg Hall. If selected as a fnalist, you will perform your song that evening at the Bemidji Sings show emceed by Deuces Wild's David Charles Eichholz. The winner will receive a half day recording time at Supple Studios, $300 cash, & $40 gas card. The runner up receives $150 cash & $40 gas card.

Both fnalists will be treated to a special "send of" breakfast at Beltrami County Historical Center hosted by Bemidji Mayor Rita Albrecht as well as have the opportunity to perform at Minnesota Sings at Courtyard by Marriot in Woodbury on Saturday, September 28th. Minnesota Sings ofers $10,000 in cash prizes, with a frst place prize of $5000!

Vocalists who live, work or atend school in Bemidji and will be 15 to 25 on September 28th, 2018, are eligible to register. Those interested must register by Friday, May 31st. There is no cost to take part.
