The Red Lake Schools #38, Red Lake, Minnesota, will receive sealed Bids for the "Red Lake Elementary School Roofing Replacement" project until 2:00 PM, Monday, May 14, 2018, Attention Willie Larson, Business Manager, Red Lake Schools #38 located at 23990 Hwy 1 Red Lake, Red Lake, MN 56671, (Door #29 at the Secondary School complex Administration Office) at which time all Bids will be publicly opened, and read aloud.

The Work generally includes but is not limited to:

Selective demolition, rough carpentry, roofing replacement utilizing approximately 37,698 square feet of coated foamed roofing, approximately 52,714 square feet of standing seam metal roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, and joint sealants at the Red Lake Elementary School located at 24900 Elementary Street, Red Lake, MN 56671.

Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect, Widseth Smith Nolting, located at 315 5th Street NW, Bemidji MN 56601.

All bidders are required to visit the project site. Bidders may attend a Pre-Bid Conference, which will be held on Thursday May 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM local time at the project site. Assemble outside the elementary school main entrance, Door #2, (weather permitting). Project site visits may also be arranged by appointment by calling Chris Borg, 218-368-7579.

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid price must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any or all Bids as they deem to be in their best interest. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for opening Bids.

This project is funded by a grant from the U S Department of Education – Impact Aid Program Discretionary Construction Program and will comply with Indian Preferences and Opportunities requirements, Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act; the Red Lake Nation Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO); the Davis-Bacon Act; the Copeland Act; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act; and Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wages.
