Native Pride dancers take center stage at Hampton Heritage Day

Dressed in traditional Native American regalia, Larry Yazzie made his dancing debut at the age of 7.

Yazzie, 51, recalled dancing for the first time in a vibrant costume made by his mother. He danced at the annual Meskwaki Powwow, an event that is now more than 100 years old. Yazzie is a member of the Meskwaki Nation tribe and an Iowa native.
