Bemidji Pioneer: Bemidji man arrested on charges of soliciting sex from child

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. -- A Bemidji man has been accused of soliciting sex from a child in Pennington County, where he met a sheriff’s deputy posing as a 15-year-old, court documents say.

Levi Garret Holden, 28, had an initial appearance hearing Monday, April 16, in Pennington County District Court, where he faces a felony charge of electronic solicitation of a child to engage in sexual conduct and a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully possessing a dangerous weapon. He was arrested Friday in Thief River Falls by the Pennington County Sheriff’s Department, whose officer had posed as a 15-year-old girl on Facebook, according to charging documents.
