Massive drug bust leads to the arrest of nearly 30 people in northern Minn.

HUBBARD CO. Minn. (Valley News Live) A massive drug bust has led to the arrests of nearly 30 people in northern Minnesota.

Over the course of the past several months, Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office and Park Rapids Police Department investigators conducted several felony level drug investigations throughout the Hubbard County area.

The focus of the investigations included people that sell and/or distribute methamphetamine and prescription drugs in the area.

Throughout the course of the investigation, task force agents were able to identify numerous drug traffickers.

The proactive efforts by drug task force agents lead to the seizure of large amounts of methamphetamine, prescription opiates, butane hash oil, high grade marijuana, firearms, and proceeds from drug sales. These crimes are all considered felony drug offenses in the State of Minnesota.

On March 28, 2018, the drug investigations reached their conclusion. A collaborative effort with the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Park Rapids Police Department, Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, Headwaters Safe Trails FBI Task Force, MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), US Border Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and West Central Drug Task Force led to the arrest of numerous people for various felony level drug offenses involving the sale and possession of illegal drugs.

The lengthy investigation has resulted in the arrest or warrant status of numerous people, including several in their 50s and even 60s listed below for felony controlled substance crimes and will be prosecuted by the Hubbard County Attorney’s Office:
