Polaris to pay $27M penalty for not immediately reporting RZR and Ranger defects

Polaris will pay a $27.3 million settlement to the Consumer Product Safety Commission over problems with its RZR and Ranger recreational off-road vehicles catching fire.

The deal settles charges that the Medina-based company didn’t immediately report defects that could “create a substantial product hazard.”
