Gift of cryptocurrency will fund 86 St. Paul classroom requests

A cryptocurrency company’s donation will fund $29 million in U.S. classroom projects, including 86 requests from St. Paul Public Schools teachers.

The crowdfunding website DonorsChoose.org on Wednesday announced that the startup Ripple was giving away $29 million of its own cryptocurrency, called XRP, to pay off every classroom project on the site.
