St. Paul PD releases new use-of-force policy; critics say restrictions don't go far enough

After reviewing more than 100 suggestions from community members, St. Paul police officials say they included many of them in an updated use-of-force policy released Wednesday.

Some community groups remain concerned, saying the directives to officers do not follow national best practices or hold the St. Paul department to higher standards when it comes to officers’ use of deadly force.
