Jordan Lee Smith, 21, died Friday, March 9, 2018 in the home of his loving friend near Cass Lake, MN.

Jordan was born May 20, 1996 to Gordon Dunn and Toni Rae Smith in Bemidji, MN. He was raised initially on Tract 33, moving eventually to St. Louis Park and Princeton, MN. He attended Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School during his younger years and then Cass Lake, Bemidji, and Princeton High Schools.

Jordan worked in fine dining as a chef. He loved his mother, sisters and brothers, grandmas, grandpas, Tereza, Kayla, his home boys and he ABSOLUTELY loved music and basketball. He also enjoyed humor, smoking ganja, and making people laugh. He was a philosopher, intelligent, wise, and very intuitive but also stubborn and he had zero patience. He was loved and cared for by everyone and he will be fondly missed.

Jordan is survived by his mother, Toni Smith; father, Gordon Dunn; brothers, Joseph Willson and Isaiah Dunn; sisters, Jaylynn Swan, Jayden Smith, Larissa Dunn, Candace Dunn, Elika Dunn, Isabel Dunn.

He was preceded in death by Ruth Anne Smith, Joleen Wilson, his son, Jordan Lee Smith, Jr., Henry Harrison, Peggy Smith, Darwin Smith and Wanda Smith.

A traditional wake will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Veterans Memorial Building in Cass Lake and continue until the time of service. The service will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 1:00, also at the Veterans Center. Spiritual leaders will be Shaun and Rebecca Ross.
