Beltrami County Deputies investigating possible Heroin Overdose Death

O’BRIEN TOWNSHIP—On Saturday, March 3, 2018 at approximately 8:01 PM, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 9600 block of Nebish Rd NW in Obrien Township in Beltrami County, after receiving a call of a deceased male subject at the residence. Obrien Township is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Bemidji. Upon Deputies arrival they confirmed the subject had been deceased for some time and was identified as Timothy A Yerbich, age 40, of Tenstrike, MN.

The 911 call was made by acquaintances of the deceased subject. Preliminary investigation revealed that the cause of death may be related to heroin use. An autopsy was performed by the Beltrami County Coroner’s Office and will be complete once toxicology reports are finished.

Further investigation is pending with the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office at 218-333-9111.
