HORSE STRUCK BY VEHICLE IN WILTON SENDS DRIVER TO THE HOSPITAL WITH NON-LIFE THREATENNING INJURIES

Wilton, MN--At approximately 3:20 AM, February 28, 2018, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on US Highway 2 in Wilton. Upon arrival they found that a horse belonging to Gary Bryngelson, age 82, of Wilton, MN had been struck and killed on the roadway by 2013 Ford Fusion, driven by Jeremy A. Rauch, age 46, of Guthrie, MN. Rauch was transported to Sanford Hospital Emergency Department by Bemidji Ambulance Service to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Bemidji Ambulance Service and MnDOT.
