1 killed in shooting at St. Paul convenience store Monday night, marking city's first homicide of 2018

St. Paul recorded its first homicide of 2018 on Monday night when one person was fatally shot inside a convenience store in the city’s Railroad Island neighborhood.

Officers responded about 7:30 p.m. to a report of a shooting at the Quick Stop Market in the 600 block of Payne Avenue, said Sgt. Mike Ernster, a St. Paul Police Department spokesman.
