Minnesota winter storm leaves behind cold and snow

A winter storm that blew across Minnesota on Thursday left behind bitter cold and a blanket of fresh snow in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

The metro saw snowfall totals ranging from less than an inch to more than two, as temperatures fell from the mid-30s to single digits, according to the National Weather Service.
