Casting Calls Set for Chickasaw Nation Productions

Chickasaw Nation Productions is hosting a series of open casting calls for upcoming film projects.

The casting calls will identify and place extras in non-speaking roles for three Chickasaw Heritage Series productions – Enduring Nation, Removal and Piominko.

Casting calls will take place in Ada, Ardmore and Norman.

The Ada casting call will be conducted Friday, Feb. 9, at the Pontotoc County Agriplex and Convention Center, 1710 N. Broadway.

An Ardmore casting call will take place Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Chickasaw Community Center, 907 Locust St.

A Norman casting call will be conducted Monday, Feb. 12, at Riverwind Hotel meeting rooms, 1544 West State Highway 9.

Each casting call will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. Participants will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis and may leave once they have met with Chickasaw Nation Productions staff.

Chickasaw Productions is seeking the following individuals for the three projects, all historical reenactments:

• Female and male Chickasaws of all ages

• Traditional native-looking males and females of all ages

Individuals selected will need to commit to specific dates during the spring and summer. Dates will be provided upon selection.

Selected extras may be requested to do the following for film shoots:

• Grow hair long

• Shave head

• Be shirtless (males)

• Participate in wardrobe fittings and photo shoots

• Stand or walk for periods of time

• Temporarily cover tattoos with makeup

• Temporarily remove piercings for film shoot

• Wait for periods of time on set.

Compensation opportunities are available for participants.
