This ferocious weather is with us through the new year

Dangerously cold weather is keeping some Twin Cities residents indoors where it’s warm. Others, though, are undeterred.

“It’s a testament to Minnesotans being die-hards,” said Pam Hoye, marketing manager at Afton Alps, where skiers hit the slopes despite the wind chill reaching as low as minus 19 on Tuesday afternoon. “…For some people, it might be their only break and you don’t want to let the weather stop you.”
