Bullied Yucaipa girl who killed herself remembered as 'an angel' by family, friends at funeral

Thirteen-year-old Rosalie Avila, a Yucaipa eighth-grader who took her own life after being bullied at school, was laid to rest Wednesday, Dec. 20, dressed as Belle from “Beauty and the Beast.”

The symbolism was fitting: Rosalie, wearing a crown and yellow gown as she lay in a white and silver coffin in Rose Hills Memorial Park’s SkyRose Chapel, was Beauty.
