WHITE EARTH -- A spike in overdoses on the White Earth Reservation in the past 48 hours prompted law enforcement there to warn the public Tuesday about heroin-related risks.

A news release sent Tuesday morning said that in the past two days the White Earth Police Department and the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Department responded to seven “overdose related” calls, two of which resulted in deaths.
