The Washington Redhawks Hoax Is Actually A Well-Executed Concept Design

Earlier this week, if you happened to be browsing the internet for NFL news, you would have come across a number of news reports about the Washington Redskins, and a website that probably threw you for a loop for a moment. Instead of seeing the controversial logo consisting of a Native American inside of a white circle with a gold outline, there was a bird taking its place and the announcement that the team had made the decision to become the Washington Redhawks.

For a quick second, it sure seemed like the team had made what many figured was an unthinkable move and changed its polarizing nickname and overhauling their visual identity. After all, there were plenty of people pushing the news on Twitter with links that, at first glance, seemed to link back to sites like Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and Bleacher Report.
