Constitutional reform takes center stage on Pine Ridge Reservation

WANBLEE, S.D. (KOTA TV) A historic effort in under way on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation as members are working toward an overhaul of the tribe's constitution.

Four Oglala Sioux Tribal Council members are spearheading the drive to reform the tribe's constitution that was imposed on the tribe without Indian input. They are gathering input from tribal members through a series of 15 community meetings including one recently for youth at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee.
