Roy to take on Mason for secretary-treasurer job

Alan Roy, who formerly managed strategic affairs for the tribe, is challenging Tara Mason for the White Earth secretary-treasurer job.

Over the past year, Roy, 33, directed the Tribal Council's legislative agenda and directed strategic affairs. His current job involves supporting veterans through Minnesota's Disabled Veteran Outreach Program in Veteran Employment Services, part of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
