Minnesota prepares for Al Franken to resign, but will he?

Sen. Al Franken appeared to run out of options Wednesday, and politicians from Minnesota to Washington were bracing for what was widely expected to be an announcement of his resignation Thursday — although Franken’s office said no decision had been made.

Amid a gradually growing list of women accusing Franken of inappropriate sexual behavior, the calls for the Minnesota Democrat to resign exploded into a crescendo Wednesday as his liberal colleagues abandoned him.
