Twin Cities temperatures to plummet after breaking record high Monday

The Twin Cities broke a 76-year-old weather record high Monday when the temperatures rose to 57 degrees at noon, according to the National Weather Service. The 1941 record was 56 degrees.

By noon Tuesday, just 24 hours later, temperatures were forecast to fall below 20 degrees with a wind chill floating around zero degrees.
