Red Lake Ice considered un-safe

WASKISH, MN--The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office is warning the public stay off Upper Red Lake. Anyone attempting to go onto the ice does so at their own risk. This warning is due to extremely poor ice conditions that have developed and continue to worsen. In the past few days, the warm weather and high winds have caused the ice to break up. Photo's posted today on the Facebook page of JR's Corner Access on their Facebook page show that the lake has many large areas of open water and what ice is there, is very broken and mostly surrounded by open water. Please stay off the lake. See photos attached taken from JR' Corner Access Facebook page.
