Metro Transit drivers vote down contract, authorize strike during Super Bowl

Unionized Metro Transit bus drivers and light rail operators have rejected the Metropolitan Council’s most recent contract proposal.

Members of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1005 voted down the proposal overwhelmingly, with 93 percent opposing it.
