Four years ago, Regions Hospital employees mistakenly tossed out a stillborn baby with the laundry after promising the family it would cremate the child.

After the family filed a lawsuit last week, the St. Paul hospital released a statement Monday saying “we immediately reached out to the family in 2013 to apologize and to try and help ease their loss.”
