ADULT MALE INJURED IN ROLLOVER CRASH

On Friday, September 23, 2017 at approximately 12:03 PM the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office received a call through its 911 Center of a one vehicle roll over crash near the 25000 block of Alvwood Road NE, Blackduck, Minnesota in Summit Township. Summit Township is located approximately 30 miles northeast of Bemidji, Minnesota.

Blackduck Ambulance and Blackduck Fire/Rescue responded to the scene of the crash along with Beltrami County Deputies. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ben J. Gillund, of Maple Plain, Minnesota. Gillund was traveling west on the Alvwood Rd (County road 30) when he entered the north ditch, and the vehicle overturned and struck a power pole. Gilland was the lone occupant/driver of the vehicle and was transported by Blackduck Ambulance to Sanford emergency department, Bemidji.

It was determined that alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
