Ride Announcement

__________________________________________________________________

September 1, 2017

My name is Wally McFarlane and I am the Ride Director for RideMN1 Inc. We are a nonprofit corporation dedicated to increasing awareness of healthy activities while raising funds to end cancer.

Our primary function is an annual bike ride and our 2017 event is scheduled for Minnesota Highway 1, beginning in Oslo, MN and ending in Illgen City, MN. While the complete ride is 346 miles scheduled over 7 days, we are organizing the ride for individual daily participation as well.

A key part of this year’s event will be the single day ride from Thief River Falls to Red Lake on Sunday September 10th. We would like to get Red Lake Nation members involved in Sunday’s ride from Thief River Falls to Red Lake – for ‘single day’ riders we are offering the option of a shorter ride of about 17 miles for those interested.

We will reduce the registration fee for this shortened ride to $20 per participant. Each participant will receive a RideMN1 T shirt and snacks and beverages at the beginning (at the Outlet) and end (at St. May’s Mission).

RideMN1 will have a tent with snacks and beverages at the Outlet from Noon to 1:30 pm for the start of this ride. We are scheduling Riders to leave at 1 PM, with the last Riders leaving no later than 1:30 PM.

Riders that choose to register will receive their T shirt at either the beginning of the ride, or at the finish at St. Mary’s Mission (Rider’s choice).
