A man who authorities said was fatally shot by Forest Service and tribal police officers during the weekend was identified Monday as being from Tucson.

Luis Fransisco Vasquez, 32, whose last known address was in Tucson, was being sought in connection to a shooting and arson, the FBI said. The FBI determined he was the person who shot at a U.S. Forest Service employee in Forest Lakes on July 4.
