Region 2 Arts Council announces most recent awardees of the Arts & Cultural Heritage Grants

Region 2 Arts Council is pleased to announce the most recent awardees of the Arts & Cultural Heritage Grants:

Bemidji Community Theater was awarded $5,500 to produce the play Dragonsong in Bemidji.

Bemidji Contra Dance was awarded $6,000 to hold a series of Contra Dance Workshops at Rail River Folk School in Bemidji.

Bemidji MusiCamp was awarded $6,000 to host Bemidji MusiCamp 2017, on the BSU Campus.

Bemidji Symphony Orchestra was awarded $6,000 to host J. Warren Mitchell for a concert in Bemidji.

Church Basement Rosemalers was awarded $2,150 to host a three-day rosemaling workshop with Ruth Green in Shevlin, in June 2017.

City of Bemidji Parks and Recreation was awarded $4,715 to hold 2017 Summer Theater Day Camp in Bemidji.

Depot Preservation Alliance received $6,000 to host their 3rd Annual Bluegrass Festival in Baudette.

Headwaters School of Music & the Arts was awarded $2,313 to host a Fiddle and Contra Dance Camp in Bemidji.

Park Rapids Downtown Business Association received $2,222 to host 2nd Street Stage Summer Concert Series in Park Rapids.

Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council was awarded $3,990 to hold the Great American Story event in Park Rapids.

Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council was awarded $5,225 to hold the Art Leap Tour in Hubbard County.

Paul Bunyan Playhouse received $6,000 to produce Schoolhouse Rock Live! in Bemidji.

Red Lake Middle School was awarded $6,000 to host a Residency for Frank Waln-Tanaya Winder in Red Lake.

Watermark Art Center received $5,565 to support the 2017 Pine to Prairie Fiber Arts Trail in Beltrami County.
