Warriors advance to sub-section championship with 70-46 win over Fosston - P26

Section 8A East Semifinal – #4 Fosston 46 vs. #1 Red Lake 70
The Red Lake Warriors broke open a close game and cruised to the 70-46 win over Fosston Saturday in the East Sub-Section 8A Semi-FInals in Thief RIver Falls.
The first half featured three ties and ten lead changes, but the Warriors controlled the second half by outscoring Fosston 37-18.
Robert Beaulieu led Red Lake with 19 points as the Warriors picked up their ninth win in their last ten games and improved their overall record to 23-4.
Hunter Kroening led the Greyhounds with 12 points as Fosston ends their season at 17-11.
The Warriors played a solid defensive game as they forced Fosston into 31 turnovers.
It was the second time this season that Red Lake defeated Fosston with the Warriors winning 75-55 on December 3rd at the Sanford Center in Bemidji.
The Warriors now advance to the East 8A Championhip game on Tuesday, March 14th against Cass Lake-Bena in Thief River Falls (6:00 pm on 96.7 FM and 106.5 FM). It will be the fourth time the Warriors and Panthers meet each other with Red Lake winning the three previous games by scores of 80-63, 85-73 and 99-56.
