Sheriff seeks to revive cross-deputation with tribes

MIAMI- The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners met Monday morning for their weekly public session addressing a janitorial contract with the Health Department, a request to reinstitute an agreement for cross-deputization with several tribes, and consider approval of signatures for a rural economic action plan involving the Fairland Fire Department.

Public Comment

After minutes had been approved for the March 6 public meeting, the floor was opened for citizen's participation and comment. Debbie Dry of Wyandotte Nation addressed the Board concerning an MOU they wished to present for county roads to be put into their inventory. Dry said she had anticipated the item being on the agenda for the current meeting.
