D.C. public school officials said Tuesday that after-school activities have been canceled because of the winter storm that swept through the Washington region. The announcement added to a long day of logistical frustration for many parents.
Unlike many neighboring school systems, the D.C. Public Schools did not cancel classes today due to overnight snow and sleet. The city’s school system instead opened Tuesday morning after a two-hour delay.
