A holistic approach to healing: Annual Red Lake summit addresses overall wellness

RED LAKE—For the past decade, representatives of various Red Lake agencies and members of the public have gathered to discuss two problems that have plagued the reservation as part of the annual Drug and Gang Summit.

This year, however, the event's organizers decided to branch out. In addition to speeches and workshops about drug identification and addiction treatment, attendees of the 11th annual Community Wellness Summit were met with information about balanced eating, exercise and other aspects of healthy living.
