Children killed in fire prompts Loon Lake Fire Department to improve its operation

Two years ago a house fire on a northern Saskatchewan First Nation killed two children.

The fire department from a neighbouring community failed to come and help because of an overdue bill owed to it by the Loon Lake First Nation.

Last week a house fire on the same First Nation left a house in ruins.

But the chief says this event turned out differently.
