Toddler Who Died In Mashpee Buried In Old Indian Cemetery

A 14-month-old boy who died after being struck by a vehicle on Coombs Lane at 5:27 PM last Friday evening, February 24, was buried at Old Indian Cemetery on Meetinghouse Road Wednesday, March 1. 

Mashpee Police Chief Scott W. Carline, who called the death "a tragedy," identified the child as Camden Ahanu Hendricks, a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. The child, known to his family as Camo, was the son of Milteer Herbert Hendricks Jr. and Burlene Jean Greene, according to an obituary prepared by Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Homes.
