About Red Lake School District and the Community
Red Lake School District is located within the culturally rich Red Lake Ojibwe Nation, which is located in Northern Beltrami, Clearwater Counties and historic Upper and Lower Red Lake. The District, which is roughly a 1,258 square-mile school district, serves the communities of Ponemah, Redby, Red Lake, and Little Rock. The District Office is located approximately 30 miles from Bemidji, a regional center for health care, higher education, arts, recreation, air travel and commerce.
Red Lake Board of Education is committed to becoming a high performing district with a strong commitment to student achievement. The District serves 1,514 students PreK-12 with 6 principals, 178 licensed staff, 163 support staff and a full-time superintendent, assistant superintendent of supplemental services, business manager, director of facilities and human resources coordinator.
The school district operates its own 3 and 4 year old program, Ojibwe language immersion program, food service program and transportation services program.

•Proof of qualifications to be a licensed superintendent in the State of Minnesota.
