Work continues on suspected Native American town

There are oyster shells everywhere at the waterfront farm. Fragments litter the fields. Dig a small hole in the ground and there are layers of shell more than a foot down.

But the farm is much higher than the nearby river, and it’s likely those oysters were cast aside hundreds — if not thousands — of years ago by people.
