Officials warn of unsafe ice conditions

BEMIDJI -- Unseasonably warm temperatures and steady rainfall have prompted local and state officials to urge caution when venturing onto ice this week.

As of Tuesday, a pickup truck had broken through ice near the shore of Lake Bemidji and was towed off the lake by early afternoon.
