Tribe Ups Battle Against Opiates

Through a combination of federal and local funds, the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe has increased its efforts to combat the opiate crisis.

In the wake of further opiate-related overdoses, the tribe has increased services to the tribal members affected, including hiring additional caseworkers, adding housing and a 24-hour hotline.
