Billings accountant gets probation for embezzling from Crow Tribe

A Billings accountant who admitted embezzling $30,000 from the Crow Tribe while working as the tribe’s comptroller will spend two years on federal probation.

During a hearing on Thursday, U.S. District Judge Susan Watters sentenced Karla Elizabeth MacCatherine, 43, to the probationary term and ordered $30,000 restitution to the tribe, court records said.
