WINNEBAGO, Neb. — The posters are up and billboards have been erected. Meetings are being held in several states. Even a TV ad is planned.
A full-bore publicity campaign is underway on the Winnebago and Omaha Indian Reservations as part of a $2 billion effort nationally to persuade tribal members to sell property they personally own back to the tribe.
