Minnesota health officials champion pill's success in preventing HIV

DULUTH, Minn. -- A pill taken once a day has high success rates in preventing HIV infection, experts say, but word isn’t getting out to some of the people who need it the most.

“Many who can benefit from PrEP aren’t taking it,” said Japhet Nyakundi of the Minnesota Department of Health. “It’s under prescribed and underutilized.”
