Locals join in for Women's March in Bemidji

BEMIDJI -- While tens of thousands of people gather in Washington D.C. and march from the U.S. Capitol to the Washington Monument on Saturday, Jan. 21, a group of Bemidji activists will stand in solidarity with those participating in the Women’s March on Washington.

While the Bemidji Women’s March is much smaller than the D.C. event -- as of Wednesday afternoon 85 people had RSVP’d to the Bemidji march’s Facebook page while an additional 122 had expressed interest -- the Bemidji march’s organizers felt that it was important to give locals the opportunity to participate in the national movement.
