DAPL Attorneys File Motion to Block Publication of Environmental Impact Statement Announcement

FORT YATES, NORTH DAKOTA — Yesterday, attorneys representing the Dakota Access Pipeline filed a motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) asking the Court to block the publication of the announcement about the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in the federal register, which the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is  anticipating this week.

DAPL is arguing that all parties must wait for the court to decide whether or not the necessary easements have already been granted; a different lawsuit that both the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the Department of Justice (representing the Corps) have moved to have dismissed.
